Easter eggs a plenty at Barsness Park and Glacial Ridge State Park
The sun broke out of the clouds just in time for the Easter egg hunts at Glacial Ridge State Park and Barsness Park on Saturday, April 15. The Minnewaska Jaycees organized the egg hunt at Barsness Park.
Besides the Easter egg hunt, prizes were also available at both locations.
Activities for families at the state park were available before the hunt, including a scavenger hunt on the walking trail, face painting and an informational session about hares and their predators.
Kids age 0 to third-grade search the state park field for eggs. Kids in fourth to sixth-grade had a different area to hunt for eggs - their area included part of a wooded section of the park that made finding eggs a little more challenging.
