Principal Dorothy Jenum presented special awards and excellent attendance awards. Accelerated reading awards were also given out. Other awards presented were the Big Buddy award, Inventor’s Fair award, and physical fitness award. Jeff Mensing presented ribbons for kickball and brannoball.
Students awarded for excellent attendence included: kindergarteners: Meghan Cerney, Naomi Leedahl and Bailey Sorenson; first graders: Courtney Grammentz, Alicia Pederson, Joseph Schneider, Patience Tharp and Makenzia Zemke; second grade: Marcelo Arredondo IV, Halley Boesen, Michaela Englund, Matthew Heid, Sarah Jackson, Bradley Jacobs, Blake Joos, Tanner Lybeck, Ryan Majerus, Mason Schlief and Austin VerSteeg; third grade: Caleb Blaisdell, Gavin Doebbert, Mychaela Heidecker, Ryan Moen, Matthew Paulson, Austin Pauly, Mari’ Anna Robinson, Jordyn Roggenkamp, Matthew Schultenover, Anthony Torguson, Michael Torguson, Sarah Vrchota and Mackenzie Walsh; fourth grade: Joshua Bartels, Brandon Cain, Shane Dalager, Katherine Haus, Amber Hieb, Joseph Melcher, Austin Ostrander, Jacob Pederson, Hailee Peterson, Zachary Peterson, Justice Robinson, Ellen Stensrud, Austin Strege and Hunter Thompson.
Winning students for the third grade April 2006 inventor project included: Sarah Vrochota, Stephanie Pederson, Haley Lee, Ryan Engfer, Hannah Kuczek, Madeline Flom, Jenna Janu, Presley Lange, Ashlie Fredrick and Colin Parsons.
Honorable Mention inventions inlcuded: Kyle Strickler, Kaitlyn Lundebrek, Luke Nielsen, Dakohta Schmainda, Alexandra Peters, Matthew Anderson, Cody Moen, Cole Mercier, William Anderson, Eden Testa and Jordyn Roggenkamp.
