“A Magical Christmas in Glenwood”  celebration begins this Thursday, Dec.5 with a “Tree Lighting” ceremondy at Eagle Bank Plaza at 5 p.m., followed by the ligted holiday parade at about 5:30 p.m.

There will also be a free community supper served from 5-8 p.m. at the Glenwood Lutheran Church Social Hall at 206 Minnesota Avenue East. All are welcome.  

The tradition of the holiday lighted parade continues on Minnesota Avenue. Parade begins on 1st Avenue NW and continues on Minnsota Avenue to 2nd Street NE (street by fire hall/Glenwood PD and Pope County Human Services).

Popcorn and hot chocolate will be provided at the Pocket Park courtesy of American Solutions for Business.

There’s still time to enter a float or entry in the holiday parade,  Businesses or organizations are asked to “be creative and make this Magical Christmas in Glenwood’s Lighted Holiday Parade something fun and enjoyable for your team members and the entire community, it was stated by the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.   Lighted entries can include lights, candles, flashlights, glow sticks, etc. All entries are judged along the parade route for the “best display of holiday Spirit” traveling trophy!

Other activities will include Other Activities: Clueless the Balloon Twister and Friends; horse and wagon rides (by church) from 5–8 p.m.; and a coloring contest. For more information  Page 10 A, or contact the Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce at 320-634-3636.
