The Starbuck Lighted Parade was held on Nov. 30 in downtown Starbuck. The route went from the city office to main street and looped around past the lutheran home. There were four entries in the lighted parade, Miss Minnewaska royalty, the Nutcracker Cafe, Paul Anderson and Mary Baukol. Miss Minnewaska and the Nutcracker Cafe both received $20 Starbuck Bucks and Paul Anderson and Mary Baukol received $10 Starbuck Bucks each. Before the parade, Santa visited the Nutcracker Cafe, where there was also a chili feed. The royalty even had the chance to meet Santa! After the parade was the chamber raffle at the Starbuck VFW. The winners of the raffle drawing were as follows: $1,000 – Larry Mozey, $250 – Greg Bova, $250 – Bill Bomber, $100 – Bruce Mitchell, $100 – Boyd Kremin, $100 – Mary Baukol, $100 – Tom Hill, $50 – Dave Gunderson, $50 – Tim Carlson, $25 – Mark Thomasseau, $25 – Harvey Pederson, $25 – Jeff Aaberg, $25 – Paule Kiley-Gerdes.
