Many normal Fourth of July celebrations have been cancelled due to the coronavirus pandemic, but Glenwood area residents can take part in a community celebration on the Fourth that provides safe space for social distancing.

Glenwood United Parish along with Evergreen Park Tree Farm, both of Glenwood,  will be hosting a community celebration on Saturday, July 4th. Starting at 8 p.m. that evening, rootbeer floats will be served, sponsored by the church activity group with a free will offering.

All are invited to come and enjoy a summer evening with music and plenty of space to practice social distancing.

Fireworks, by Phil Stumpf, will follow at 10 p.m. Bring a lawn chair and a friend or two. The Evergreen Park Tree Farm is located just west of Glenwood United  Parish along Highway 29 North. Both are located just west of Midwest Machinery Co.
