American Solutions for Business recently donated $5,000 for pickleball courts.  A dedicated group of local community members are raising funds to convert existing tennis courts to pickleball courts in City Park in Glenwood.   Pickleball is growing rapidly in all surrounding communities and ASB  is supporting the conversion.  Accepting American’s donation are: Merlin Schroeder (left) and Jean Noland with the Pickleball organization Representing ASB are Jamie Lanoue and Amy Spychalla (right). The resident-led pickle ball court initiative is striving to have the project completed possibly as early as this summer, according to Jean Noland.  Pickleball is a sport for all ages.  It is easy to learn and fun for all – no matter the gender, age, or skill level of the player.  “By adding 4 pickleball courts in the heart of Glenwood, it will increase recreational opportunities for residents and visitors to Pope County.  It will also strengthen community building as a group activity for businesses, churches, and youth groups,” Noland explained. “Please help us bring America’s fastest growing sport to OUR community!”  Donations to the project can be mailed to: Glenwood and Beyond, PO Box 434, Glenwood, MN  56334. Please note pickleball on the check.
