POPE COUNTY, MINNESOTA NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING OF THE PLANNING ADVISORY COMMISSION

In accordance with the Minnesota Open Meeting Law and Minnesota Statutes, Sections 13D.04, notice is hereby given of a Special Meeting of the Pope County Planning Advisory Commission as follows:

Date: Thursday, July 14th, 2022

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Location: The meeting, will be held at the 3rd floor meeting room, Pope County Courthouse, 130 East Minnesota Ave., Glenwood, MN.

Purpose: The purpose of the meeting is to conduct a public hearing in consideration of an amendment to section 10.3.6 (Non-Confinement Feeding Areas) of the Pope County Land Use Controls Ordinance.  The primary impact of the proposed amendment would be to modify from an annually issued permit, as approved by the Director, to a longer-term Interim Use Permit which is approved by the Board.  In association with the longer term permit is the inclusion of performance standards relating to the identified land use activity.  The proposed changes are limited to the permitting process and do not purport to amend the permissibility of this established and recognized land use activity.
