After the Trolls of Holly Skogen Park alerted the students of Glacial Hills Elementary School summer program that there were BEARS in the park, students rose up to help.  They reviewed bear crossing safety and grabbed their bear bells and headed across the street.

An open season on bears was authorized, with “Catch and Release” rules.  Once found, you can take a trophy picture with the bear, and then he must be hidden again for future hunters.  No water guns or nerf balls allowed.  Kindness prevails as these are friendly bears.

Also a discovery of wishing stones brought out Rock Hounds International members to study the geology in the park.  Wishing Rocks have one stripe around the circumference.  See a sample at the Wishing Well.

The 12 resident Trolls and Gnomes enjoy visitors and welcome you to enjoy the nature trails.  Remember to leave only footprints and take only photos.

Thank you Peddler Dan for sponsoring “Bears in the Park.”
