Mjøsen Lodge members held their annual Midsommarfest and coronation of junior King and Queen at Starbuck Park.
They welcomed their new royalty Blake and Peyton Andersen, children of Steve and Magan Andersen of Starbuck. Mjøsen Lodge member Dave Benton is their great-grandfather, and their great – great – great – grandparents emigrated from Norway.
Last year’s royalty Braigh and Roran, children of Charity and Greg Vold and grandchildren of golden members Dorothy and Richard Vold, assisted in the coronation ceremonies.
Queen Peyton and King Blake will be sharing greetings from the Lodge’s Viking ship during community parades at Starbuck Heritage Days and Glenwood Waterama.
Mjøsen Lodge was established in 1916 and continues to provide monthly cultural programs on Scandinavian culture, present and past. All are welcome to our programs.
