The Pope County Council on Aging hosted the annual Fourth of July party this week at the Minnewaska House. Annie O’Flinn entertained attendees while they enjoyed a picnic lunch of barbecues, beans, chips, salads and desserts. Several door prizes were given out, and over 200 grab bags were available for purchase. The Rainbow Rider offered free bus rides for those unable to get to the luncheon on their own. The Pope County Council on Aging is part of Western Prairie Human Services. The program is directed by Diane Kittelson who has been in her position for one year. “I’m so excited we could hold this event again,” she said.
