NOTICE OF AMENDMENT TO THE POPE COUNTY LAND USE CONTROLS ORDINANCE

Notice is hereby given that on the 6th day of September, 2022, the Pope County Board of Commissioners adopted an amendment to the following section of the Pope County Land Use Controls Ordinance:

10.3.6 Non-Confinement Feeding Areas

The primary impact of the proposed amendment would be to modify from an annually issued permit, as approved by the Director, to a longer-term Interim Use Permit which is approved by the Board. In association with the longer term permit is the inclusion of performance standards relating to the identified land use activity. The proposed changes are limited to the permitting process and do not purport to amend the permissibility of this established and recognized land use activity.

This amendment is implemented hereafter.

Copies of the amendment and the Land Use Controls Ordinance are on file in the Land and Resource Management Department, County Auditor Department, and on the County website https://www.popecountymn.gov/departments/LandResourcesManagement/ordinances.
