It’s a conversation starter. What were some of your favorite acts of kindness from others that you’ve experienced? The following are anonymous replies to the question.

After observing the interactions, a parent of a child with physical challenges was told by a stranger that he was a good dad.

While a family was spending a weekend at the lake in a pop-up camper, the daughter’s fiancé was invited along. Sleeping close but in separate beds, her dad saw the young man put 50 cent pieces under her pillow so when she awoke she would find the tooth fairy had left them as weeks before she had her wisdom teeth removed.

A mother was in a store when her child was having a tantrum. A woman came up to her and told her she was a good mother.

A customer was going through a store checkout and realized he had left his wallet at home. A kind person next in line said they would pay the bill and all they asked was that the person pay it forward to someone else.

My children were spread across the country. For Mother’s Day I received a picture frame with individual photos of each holding up an “I love you” message for me.

One person started a chain reaction at a drive-up when they paid for the order in the car behind them and others did the same throughout an entire day.

For my birthday, a co-worker arranged for those I work with in my department to decorate my desk. Also, at different times during the day, each gave me one flower with a touching message. By the end of the day, I had a beautiful bouquet and heartfelt wishes.

~When a person is asked to share a special moment, your interest and engagement in their story of gratitude, joy or happiness helps them relive the experience. It’s a gift you can give to each other.
