Pope County residents filled Lakeside Ballroom last Tuesday for the annual “Live United” luncheon hosted by United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties.  The luncheon celebrated the impact made possible through individuals, businesses, non-profits, and community partners on local families in need.  Following the program, those attending helped pack 1,000 bags of food to be distributed to children over the holidays through United Way’s “Backpack Attack” program in Pope County.
