The Minnewaska softball team stayed alive in the Section 3AA Tourney after beating KMS in the elimination round, Thursday at Morris (6-2) before falling to the top-seeded Morris Area Tigers in the second round later in the day (5-2).
Minnewaska, which improved to 9-12 overall, was set to play again Saturday against NLS at Marshall in the consolation bracket, but results of that game were not available due to the early Memorial Day weekend deadline. If the Lakers beat NLS, they would have to play another elimination-game the same day at Marshall.
The Section 3AA Tourney continues Tuesday, May 27 and Thursday, May 29.
