United Way of Douglas and Pope Counties has been awarded a grant from the Osaic Foundation to support local efforts to address food insecurity. This funding will help expand and sustain key programs such as the United Way Food Drop and Backpack Attack, which provide critical food resources to families across Pope County. The Osaic Foundation’s philanthropic commitment is reflected in this grant, one of 280 awarded nationwide across 37 states. These contributions are designed to recognize and support the volunteer efforts of individuals making a difference in their communities. This particular grant was made in recognition of Tim Johnson, Financial Advisor with Eagle Financial Services and a proud volunteer and supporter of United Way. Johnson’s service reflects the strong community values of Eagle Bank, where he is an active team member. United Way Program Coordinator Leah Wolkow expressed gratitude for the support. “This grant allows us to continue meeting families where they are with essential programs that provide real help. We’re thankful for the generosity of the Osaic Foundation and for Tim’s continued leadership and involvement.” Pictured from left are Leah Wolkow and Tim Johnson at the June United Way Food Drop, which served 120 families through the program available to households living in Douglas and Pope counties.
