Superintendent of Minnewaska Area Schools

As the summer days gradually shorten and we look forward to crisp fall mornings and a safe and successful fall harvest, I want to extend a warm welcome back to all our students, families, teachers, and staff. The start of a new academic year is always a time of anticipation and promise, a chance to embrace new challenges and opportunities for growth.

Our dedicated teachers and staff have spent the summer preparing classrooms, enhancing curricula, and participating in professional development to ensure we provide the best educational experience. We are all very excited to welcome everyone for another year!

Embracing New

Opportunities

We are thrilled to introduce several new initiatives to enhance student learning and well-being this year. From expanded course offerings to new career academies in the high school, we are committed to providing a holistic education that meets the needs of every student. We aim to equip our students with the skills and knowledge they need to succeed in an ever-changing world.

Strengthening

Our Community

We know that education is a partnership between the school and home, and we are committed to strengthening our relationship with families and the wider community. Throughout the year, we will be hosting various events and workshops designed to engage parents and provide them with the tools they need to support their children’s education. We encourage you to participate and share your ideas, as your involvement is crucial to our success.

Safety and Well-Being

The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority. This year, we have implemented several new measures to ensure that our schools are safe and welcoming places for all. These include updated security protocols, additional staff training, and resources to support the mental and emotional health of our students.

Looking Ahead

As we look ahead to the new school year, I am optimistic and excited. Our district is a place where students are encouraged to explore, question, and discover, and I am confident that this year will be one of tremendous growth and achievement for all.

On behalf of the entire school district, thank you for your continued support and partnership. Together, we can make this school year one of the best yet.

Let’s make this a year to remember!
