‘The Little Hidden Gem in Glenwood’

Originally from Norway, I am 87 years old, I have experienced many hospitals throughout my life in Europe and in United States so I feel I can really compare what is out there through my experiences. I have been going to Glacial Ridge Hospital for many years here in Glenwood.

Glacial Ridge Hospital is very special to me not only have I been treated by the  utmost intelligent caring doctors and nurses but their care goes above all else they definitely are my guardian angels every time I visit there not only in their professional medical background do they assist me, But they have a heart that is caring and they treat you like family which is medicine enough for you to heal. Not all hospitals give you that special feeling as I have received at Glenwood Glacial Ridge from the cooks at the hospital to the cleaning ladies to the front desk from the nurses to the doctors they all have their special part and making Glacial Ridge my hidden gem in Glenwood I have known throughout my years and have many bonds with a doctors, nurses and staff that is very special to me.

Speaking of the cooks there they definitely put their love in their food that they cook.

The cleaning lady worked so hard cleaning all these rooms with a smile on her face and always pleasant to talk to. You can tell she loves her job and put passion and all that she does making all the rooms so clean and disinfected.

For the nurses they have gone above and beyond for all their patients to make your stay comfortable their attention to detail at everything they do is very much noticed and the care and the love that they put in is greatly appreciated for my health.

I truly believe that the doctors have saved my life there many times and they’re knowledgeable and up-to-date on all the medical procedures and very patient with all my questions and puts me at ease.

I have very special bonds with all my doctors that I feel comfortable talking with them about all my health needs and to feel comfortable and have a doctor that feels like your friend means a lot to me. From the admin. staff that answers all the calls they answer the calls with a smile in their voice and it reflects so nicely when all my relatives and loved ones call into my room to check on me.  The ER department is so patient with me and caring from the ambulance drivers to my delivery to the emergency room. I always feel at ease and never scared when I’m in their presence.

For anyone that is thinking of going to the hospital that is scared please be assured that the treatment that you get from this hidden gem Hospital in Glenwood please be at ease. You are the most important thing when you arrive and when you leave and that is how they treat you.

I truly feel that this whole staff was sent from God to take care of us at Glacial Ridge Hospital.

Please do not ever be afraid as I always have been hesitant of going to the hospital and that feeling has left me when I know I’m in such good hands with such great staff thank you!

Sometimes you may think that your job is not that important, but it truly is, I greatly appreciate all you do and you are so special of all the lives that you saved daily. I know a lot of the staff have a lot of time that they take away from their family to be with you to help you out in the hospital.  Their schedules take a lot of time away from their personal life, but they always have a smile on their face and act like they truly love their job!

I cannot thank you enough for all you do for here in Glenwood. We are thankful to have such a beautiful hospital like Glacial Ridge Hospital ❤️I appreciate all you do.
