Responds to Jan. 6, abortion rights letter

From Audrey Oeltjen,

In response to the  “On Jan,6th and abortion rights” Letter to the Editor” of Feb. 27, 2023:

The belief that the incident of January 6th in Washington D.C. was an “ insurrection “ is ludicrous at face value. Quickly the following died that day: 1. Rosanne Boyland was pepper-sprayed and beaten unconscious by an MPD Police (Lila Morris) woman’s stick, and then trampled on the U.S. Capital steps as police continued to push protesters on top of her while she was on the ground. One man who had tried to resuscitate  Boyand was sprayed directly in the face with chemicals. 2. Benjamin Phillips, the police threw four concussion grenades into the crowd. One of those grenades struck Benjamin Phillips, which stopped his heart, caused him to collapse, and ultimately took his life. (The police refused to help with CPR, stating “because of  COVID.”  3. Kevin Greeson , like Phillips, also fell victim to the barrage of “FLASH-BANG” grenades thrown into the crowd by Capitol Police. There is a video evidence of police standing around, refusing  to assist. 4. Ashli Babbitt, shot point-blank and killed by a capital police officer. (“Michael Byrd, who now has collected over  $163,000 from GoFundMe.) 5. Brian Sicknick, a hero for both sides, died from a stoke.

Christians and Abortion. Yes, America  continues to be a Christian nation. Denial of that fact doesn’t make you an intellectual, only unread. Your misunderstanding of separation of church and state is simply not understanding the constitution and the founding fathers. No, the word “God” doesn’t appear in the Constitution, but “Creator” does. Who do you think that is?   “Fair Trial” doesn’t appear in the Constitution, but that doesn’t prevent us from having one. The first amendment basically says the government cannot tell you  which religion to follow. And as far as abortion is concerned, cherry-picking a case  in Ireland to prove a point because she didn’t get an abortion, she died. Perhaps you should read the details of the case, the women died of an E.coli bacterial infection that entered her urinary track and subsequent failure to treat the infection, not because she couldn’t have an abortion. Although this case was used to change abortion law in Ireland, it still doesn’t give abortion advocates carte blanche there. Frankly I don’t know one state that doesn’t permit abortion to save the life of the Mother.  Nonetheless, stopping the heart….killing a child should never be because the mother is unwilling to allow an unborn child the rights of Life, Liberty and Pursuit of Happiness. If you think your old enough to engage in activities to cause pregnancies, then your old enough to take the responsibilities for the actions. Yes, killing is against Christian morals. And I’m putting it out there “you don’t have to be a Christian to know that killing is wrong” (at least I hope you do). If you believe that a fetus isn’t a child alive, then science should tell you that life comes only from life. I just happen to believe it’s a miracle from God. Minnesota has protected the life of a mother since 1973 (concerning abortion). The new Minnesota law has little to no restrictions. Horrible.  “Reproductive Freedom” to validate killing a baby. Its mind blowing.  What has happened to morality in America? May God help us!

We all need to remember our Sunday School days and return to our creator!
