Sauk Centre 22 Minnewaska 10

Sauk Centre was at the Minnewask softball complex on Thursday. The Mainstreeters had lost a doubleheader to Morris two days earlier and were looking to get back in the win column.

The Mainstreeters’ bats were hot, with many of the batters hitting the ball on the nose off of the Minnewaska pitchers. Sauk Centre racked up 20 hits and 22 runs, but the Minnewaska offense was strong as well, racking up 19 hits, just one shy of the Mainstreeters’ total.

Brooklyn Larson was perfect at the plate, going 4-4 and scoring three times. Olivia Richards had three hits, two of them doubles, and Maddy Meulebroeck had three hits and a double while driving in four runs. Leslie Murken also had a great day at the plate, with three hits in three trips to the plate.
