The Glenwood Lowry Legion baseball team defeated the Ashby Arrows 6-4 at Marthaler Field last Tuesday then defeated Granite Falls 4-1 last Wednesday at Granite Falls.

Against Ashby, Jacob Blair got the win pitching the full seven innings and giving up four runs on five hits and striking out 4.  

Glenwood Lowry Legion built a five-run lead by the third inning. They scored on a single by Dylan Alexandrer and a passed ball during PJ Johnson’s at bat in the first inning.  Then, in the third the local team put up three more runs.  Hunter Johnson hit a homerun in the third.  He and Torii Johnson each had two hits for Glenwood Lowry team.

In Granite Falls, Torii Johnson went the full seven innings for the Glenwood Lowry team, allowing just one run on seven hits.  He had his control and didn’t walk anybody and struck out five.

Jacob Blair, Levi Johnson, Torii Johnson, Hunter Johnson and Dylan Alexander all had one hit in the winning contest.
