Glenwood-Lowry Legion improves to 10-0

The Glenwood-Lowry Legion baseball team remained undefeated with a 10-0 record after defeating BBE 4-2 on July 1 and then defeating Long Prairie-Grey Eagle 10-0 and again 11-6 on Thursday, July 7.

The Glenwood-Lowry Legion team nabbed the lead late in the game in a 4-2 victory over Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa.
The game was tied at two with Glenwood-Lowry coming to bat in the top of the sixth when a sacrifice bunt by Jack Majerus scored the go ahead run.
In the first inning, Glenwood-Lowry got their offense going when Jack Larson singled to score the first run.
Glenwood-Lowry then evened the score at two in the top of the fourth when Dylan Alexander hit a solo homerun.
PJ Johnson got the win giving up just the two runs on three hits over six innings of work. He struck out four.
Hunter Johnson, Larson, Alexander and Torii Johnson all had one hit in the winning effort.

Glenwood-Lowry defeated LP-GE 10-0 as two pitchers combined to throw the shutout.
Hunter Johnson led the Glenwood-Lowry Legion to victory on the hill. The southpaw didn’t give up a run and allowed on one hit over six innings, striking out six. Blake Andreas induced a fly-out to finish the game in his one inning of relief.
Glenwood-Lowry opened the scoring in the first inning, scoring seven runs on singles by Austin Ballhagen and Jacob Blair, a sac fly by Hunter Johnson and a homerun by Dylan Alexander. Alexander hit the homer on a 2-2 count that scored three runs.
The Glenwood-Lowry team racked up 11 hits in the winning effort. Alexander, Andreas and Torii Johnson each managed multiple hits. Alexander led, going 3-5.

Both teams had their offense going, but Glenwood-Lowry prevailed in the 11-6 win to remain undefeated on the season.
LP-GE scored a run in the first, but Glenwood-Lowry answered with seven runs in the third inning. Dylan Alexander singled, scoring one run, Jack Larson singed on the first pitch scoring another run and PJ Johnson drew a walk to score another run. Nathan Dell then singled scoring another run and Alex Panitzke singled scoring a run and Blake Andreas doubled scoring the final run of the inning.
Jacob Blair got the win for Glenwood-Lowry. Blair lasted two and a third innings, allowing two hits and three runs while striking out four.
Conner Stein launched a homerun for Glenwood-Lowry.
Glenwood-Lowry scattered 12 hits on their way to the victory. Alexander, Andreas and Majerus all had multiple hits in the game. Alexander went 3-3 at the plate to lead the team in hits.
