The 2022 Miss Minnewaska royalty was crowned in a ceremony last weekend. Outgoing queen, Rylee Metz, crowned Miranda Longtin, daughter of Chris and Rebecca Longtin, as her successor. Addyson Randt, daughter of Brad and Michal Randt, and Leah Hagen, daughter of Jason and Jenny Hagen, were selected as part of her court. The outgoing royalty, including Princesses Hailey Jackson and Avery Jorgenson,  gave gracious farewell speeches as they took their final walk as Miss Minnewaska Queen and Princesses. Dakota Holder was named Miss Congeniality and other candidates were Leslie Murken and Zoe Anderson.

The Junior Miss Minnewaska pagaent was also held last weekend during the Starbuck Heritage Days celebration. Outgoing Junior Royalty, Queen Jayda Hormann, daughter of Devin and Chelsea Hormann, and Princess Kaylee Martin, daughter of Frank and Michalene Martin, crowned their successors, Princess Lexi Knight, daughter of Brandi and Waylon Knight, and Queen McKenna Jorgenson, daughter of Zach and Caitlyn Jorgenson.

Starbuck Heritage Days was a huge success that played host to many activities last weekend. The parade was a large attraction with tons of people lining the streets of town. Kids’ activities were aplenty including a kiddie carnival, parade and lots of craft opportunities. There were food vendors, craft vendors and the depot and museum were open for tours. The car show featured beautiful cars from several generations.
