The Starbuck Junior Legion team dropped a tight game at Morris last Tuesday, July 12, falling 6-7 in the final inning.

In came down to the last play.  The game was tied at six with Morris batting in the bottom of the seventh when Morris second baseman Jackson Hallman singled to score the winning run.

Starbuck opened the scoring in th second inning when Thomas Poegel grounded out, scoring a run.  They scored four more in the fifth inning and Ryland Martin, Levi Johnson and Connor Frey each drove in runs in that frame.  

Austin Ballhagen started for Starbuck and went six innings, allowing four runs on five hits and striking out 3.  Jack Majerus took the loss.

Dylan Alexander went 2-3 to lead Starbuck at the plate.
