Happenings at Central Square
Waterama weekend is almost here, and Mick Sterling will be in Glenwood with his 14-member band (yes, 14!) to help celebrate the annual festival at 7 p.m. on Saturday night, July 30. They will perform music from the Billy Joel songbook. This concert is the fourth show in the 2022 Concert Series at Central Square and will take place in the beautiful air-conditioned Central Square Auditorium. This concert is generously Sponsored by Glenwood State Bank. There will also be five $50 cash prize giveaways sponsored by American Solutions for Business.

A reminder to you that summer art classes are in full swing at Central Square! Eight weeks of youth art programming started Wednesday, July 6, and will continue through Wednesday, Aug. 24. There is a wide range of classes available that will allow kids to explore their imagination and creativity. Classes will take place every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. Visit centralsquare.org for the full schedule and class details.
Art in the Square Gallery
Make sure to stop by the Central Square Art Gallery to view the exciting exhibit featuring the work of Jules Bowman. The exhibit runs now through August.
Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. If you are interested in purchasing Jules’ work, visit the Central Square office or call 320-634-0400.

Do you love to draw? Whether you are new to drawing or it’s a professional pastime, artist Faythe Mills will lead a pencil portrait class on Aug. 18, from 5:30-8:30 p.m. Registration for this class is $45. Sign up by calling 320-634–0400 or visiting https://ticketpeak.co/centralsquare.
Mark your calendars for Aug. 27, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. for Central Square’s outdoor Makers’ Markets featuring Music on the Lawn. This will be the last event in their singer/songwriter showcase of 2022. Plans are already underway for the 2023 series! More details coming soon.
