New royalty chosen at Waterama Coronation

Serena Mellgren, daughter of Gus and Jan Mellgren of Glenwood, was crowned 66th Waterama Queen. Kiearra Wilmes, daughter of Luke and Jessica Wilmes of Glenwood, was crowned Waterama First Princess; and Alicia Boysen, daughter of Dean and Jolee Boysen of Glenwood was crowned Second Princess. Kiearra Wilmes was also chosen as Miss Congeniality by her fellow candidates.
Like most of the events during the 66th Waterama celebration in Glenwood, large crowds filled City Park for the final activity of the celebration.
Outgoing Waterama Junior Royalty, Queen Hadley Vangsness and Princess Tatum Jensen, crowned their successors this weekend at the 66th Annual Waterama Jr. Coronation. Representing Glenwood Waterama for 2023 are Queen Hadley Jorgenson, daughter of Zach and Caitlyn Jorgenson, and Princess Brinley Abraham, daughter of Tim and Stacey Abraham. The girls will represent Glenwood at several parades and events through the coming year.
Sara Iverson, right, was revealed on Sunday evening as the new Vice Commodore for Waterama 2023. She joins Admiral Terry Jones and Commodore Angie VanZee as they begin work on the 67th Annual Waterama in 2023.
