Happenings at Central Square
Back by special request, Southern Raised returns to the Lee Paulson Stage at Central Square on Sept. 17, at 7 p.m. Southern Raised is a group of award-winning kinfolk, trained in classical music but raised in the bluegrass soaked Ozark Mountains. They have created a Southern Raised trademark sound where classical meets bluegrass and city streets meet country roads. Central Square looks forward to presenting this award winning, genre breaking band. They have 32 SPBGMA Midwest nominations, multiple number one songs and have garnered over 12 million views on their YouTube channel.
Tickets are $30 in advance, $35 at the door, and children 12 and under are admitted for free with the presence of an adult ticketholder. Get yours today by calling 320-634–0400 or visiting https://ticketpeak.co/centralsquare.
Art in the Square Gallery
The next gallery exhibit will feature the intricate drawings of Dennis Anderson. He captures the nuances of shadow and light and translates them into powerfully detailed renderings of landscapes and portraits.
There will be an open house reception for Anderson on Sept. 17, from 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. Rolling Forks Vineyards sponsor this reception. Central Square is grateful for the support of Rolling Forks Vineyards and their incredible wines!
Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays by appointment. If you are interested in purchasing Jules’ work, visit the Central Square office or call 320-634-0400.

Get ready for a soul filled evening on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m., featuring Bruce Henry, Gwen Matthews and Kathleen Johnson. More details coming soon!
Thank You
Central Square thanks all who joined them for their Maker’s Market & Music on the Lawn event on Saturday, August 27! They would also like to thank local philanthropists, Larry Zavadil and Steve Klick, for sponsoring the live music in honor of Central Square Executive Director, Chery Larson’s, 10-year anniversary and her A-team, Marie Chan, Jes Baggett and Renae Riley. Central Square gives a huge thank you Stacy Gerdes’ Lakes Catering for catering these summer events! The support of local businesses and patrons makes these fun and free events possible.
They would also like to extend their gratitude to Minneapolis-based artist, Jules Bowman, for agreeing to return to Central Square for a closing gallery reception and yoga class! She was a great sport about coming back to support our gallery and event efforts.
