Happenings at Central Square

Get ready for a soul-filled evening on Saturday, Oct. 22, at 7 p.m. Legendary vocalists, Bruce Henry and Gwen Matthews, team up to present and celebrate The Legends of Soul. For this show, they welcome special guest Kathleen Johnson to join them as they perform songs made famous by artists like Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, Gladys Knight, Beyoncé, BB King, Prince and more. Each of these vocal titans has a history of commanding the stage with magical solo performances and when they synthesize their talents, the sum is greater than its parts.

Tickets for Legends of Soul are $30 in advance and $35 on the day of the event. A reminder that children 12 and under are admitted for free with the presence of an adult ticketholder. Get your tickets today by calling 320-634–0400 or visiting https://ticketpeak.co/centralsquare.

This week, Saturday the 24th from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Central Square will hold a fundraising “Rummage Sale” in conjunction with their Makers Market. They are accepting gently used donations that will be included in the sale based upon review. No clothes, shoes or mattresses please!

Art in the Square Gallery

Central Square’s gallery exhibit features the intricate drawings of Dennis Anderson. He captures the nuances of shadow and light and translates them into powerfully detailed renderings of landscapes and portraits.

Gallery hours are Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Fridays by appointment.

Thank You

Central Square thanks all who joined them for the Southern Raised show and Dennis Anderson’s gallery reception on Saturday! They would also like to thank American Solutions for Business for sponsoring the cash prize giveaways and Rolling Forks Vineyard for providing the beverage service. Lastly, Central Square appreciates all the community members who came forward to volunteer for this event; they helped make it a total success.
