Special Recognitions & Honors:
The MAS board would like to recognize the hard work the buildings and grounds staff have put into the district facilities this summer. The schools are open all summer; you ask? Here’s just a fraction of the summertime tasks that this group of individuals do. Removing all the furniture from every room, cleaning that furniture, and then cleaning the room before putting it all back. Washing and waxing all the floors. Deep cleaning all the classrooms, moving teachers’ furniture to their new classrooms. And all this is BEFORE the teachers get here to set up their classrooms. A big thank you to this hard-working group of individuals.
The MAS Board would like to recognize all of the staff that have been working diligently over the summer for the Laker Legends school-age-child care program. Laker Legends accommodated 60 plus children over this summer with fun activities and field trips.
The MAS Board would also like to recognize all of the staff that have been participating in the Boot Camp. This year’s Back to School Boot Camp had different options for staff to participate in. The options that were available were, School Safety & Building Response Team Trainings, Curriculum and Instruction, creating a Safe and Welcoming learning environment for all students, and Develop a MAS “STEAM Challenge Academy”. The board recognizes all of the dedicated staff that have joined in this rigorous return to school boot camp. Thank you for your dedication to our students and district.
