ORDINANCE NO. 2022-01

CITY OF VILLARD,

POPE COUNTY, MINNESOTA

AN ORDINANCE PERTAINING TO THE PAYMENT OF THE MAYOR, THE CITY COUNCIL AND THOSE HIRED BY THE CITY OF VILLARD FOR MISCELLANOUS JOBS.

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VILLARD, POPE COUNTY, MINNESOTA, ORDAINS:

WHEREAS THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF VILLARD FEELS IN AN EFFORT TO RETAIN AND/OR ATTRACT MEMBERS FOR THE POSITION OF MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL IT IS REASONABLE TO INCREASE THE PAY FOR THESE POSITIONS. ALSO, IN AN EFFORT TO RETAIN AND/OR ATTRACT WORKERS FOR MISCELLANOUS CITY JOBS THERE IS A NEED TO INCREASE THE HOURLY PAY AS THESE ARE TEMPORARY/AS NEEDED POSTITIONS.

SECTION 1. Mayor. The payment for the mayor of the City of Villard shall increase to $200 per Regular City Council Meeting, paid annually each December.

SECTION 2. Council. The payment for the council of the City of Villard shall increase to $100 per Regular City Council Meeting, paid annually each December.

SECTION 3. Mayor/Council. The payment for the mayor and the council of the City of Villard shall be $25 per Special City Council Meeting, paid annually each December.

SECTION 4. Mayor/Council. The payment for the mayor and the council of the City of Villard shall be $20 for each approved meeting that is city related, paid annually each December.

SECTION 5. Mayor/Council. The payment for the mayor or the council person of the City of Villard who is the caretaker of the City Park will be paid $200 per month, January – December.

SECTION 5. City Workers. The payment for City Workers for the City of Villard shall increase to $20 per hour for miscellaneous jobs for the city to be paid monthly.

SECTION 6. This Ordinance shall be published forthwith following its adoption.
