The summer season is now history with lake residents taking advantage of the final warm temperatures of autumn to remove docks and lifts and prepare for the snow and ice that will soon cover the area’s lakes.  Here, a boat designed for removing docks and lifts headed toward Hunt’s Resort where the boat lift will be stored for the winter months. While temperatures were in the 70s when the lift was removed last Wednesday, a cold front moved in on Thursday with strong winds and temperatures just reaching 50 degrees. Things will warm up for a day or two before another cold front moves in later this week.
