Work continued last week installing the splash pad at Barsness Park.  Crews were placing waterlines and preparing for concrete work.  The Minnewaska Splash Pad should be operational for the next summer season.  The splash pad was made possible through fundraising efforts that raised close to $250,000.  With the money raised, the city takes over ownership and maintenance of the splash pad, which is located north of the entrance road and south of the creek and playground equipment at the park.
