The Glenwood Lions Club partnered with the City of Glenwood to replace the windows in the Chalet building in Barsness park.  The Chalet was built by the Glenwood Lions Club in 1954.

Glenwood Lions Club had another successful annual fall fundraiser to support their many local, regional and International Lions Club projects.

At the Club’s November monthly gathering at Captain’s Bar and Grill, they conducted the cash raffle ticket drawings using a Random Number Generator to select the winners. The lucky winners were $400 Jim Zenk, $200  AJ’s Bar & Grill, $100  Gordon Stock, $50 Gift Card to Minnewaska House: Sheila Barsness, Minnewaska Dental, Neil Nelson, Justin Anderson, Jim Morrissey,  Adam Loe,  Carla Spader,  Gene Wenstrom, Jimmy Buysse, and Missy Schultz.

Club members “shared a hardy thank you to all those purchasing tickets to support our projects.”  A couple of the club’s local projects are forming a  partnership with the City of Glenwood to replace the windows on the Barsness Park Lions Chalet building (built in 1954)  and sponsoring two MAHS annual scholarships for graduating seniors.

If interested in joining the Glenwood Lions Club, the club meets every second Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.  at Captains Bar and Grill.  Glenwood Lions Club was established in November 1940 and is looking forward to another new decade of service to the community.
