Special Recognitions & Honors: Superintendent Rankin and the MAS board would like to recognize
• Roxanne and Gay are what drive the success of our food service department. They are mindful of making it their number one priority that our students get a well-balanced breakfast and lunch every day. Roxanne does this by offering multiple healthy options on three different lines, and Gay has one of her staff members assist at the salad bar, ensuring each student gets a good selection of vegetables on their tray. When a menu item is not working, they try new products and recipes to bring newness and freshness. Both lead their teams with clear expectations and directions, making the back of the lunchroom run smoothly. These ladies rarely take time off and put in extra time to complete the scheduling and food orders. We are thankful to have Roxanne and Gay on the MAS team.
• Karna Palmer for her time and talents in learning all the details about our new score vision scoreboards. Karna has spent many hours outside the school day and with her students mastering the process of uploading details about our teams and advertising information from local businesses. We undoubtedly would not be where we are today without all her hard work and dedication to the process. Thank you Karna for all you do.
• Eric Adams for his work at W.I.N. Academy. Eric had stepped into a new role and handled it admirably. The staff at WIN have embraced Eric, and they show how much he is appreciated. He works well with the students and takes a lot of pride in his work. He embodies what it means to be a Laker.
