From the Pope County Tribune, Thursday, Feb. 22, 1923.
Chas. Glantz returned to Glenwood Wednesday to take his old position as Northern Pacific agent here. We are glad to see Charlie’s smiling countenance around the town again.
G.C. Wollan, our new postmaster, took charge of his duties as postmaster this week. The way he is taking hold of things we prophesy he will make good.
Scott Sawyer of Glenwood, for the last two years a traveling representative for the International Brotherhood of Firemen and Oilers, has been appointed by the Pope County Tribune as its “official” city reporter. We trust he will have the cooperation of the public in general in reporting all the news. How you can best help can be learned by seeing Scott or phoning him at 124-J, or the Tribune office.

The Sedan high school boys went to Brooten last Friday and played their first basketball game. The score was 7 to 15 in favor of Sedan. We are very proud of our boys and we hope they will keep on being successful in the rest of their games.

From the Starbuck Times, Friday, Feb. 23, 1923.
Martin Aune, prominent dairy farmer of White Bear Lake, was appointed secretary and manager of the creamery by the board at their meeting a week ago. Edward Engebretson succeeded H. M. Johnshoy on the board at the annual meeting but no other changes were made. A.J. Nordberg was reelected president of the board. Mr. Aune was appointed by the board to take Mr. Johnshoy’s place as secretary at the beginning of the year when Mr. Johnshoy left to assume his duties as representative in the legislature. Aune had previous experience as a member of the board and as manager and with his thorough knowledge of the dairy business, will undoubtedly make a success of his new position.
At the meeting of the board of directors of the Shipping Association last week Otto Olson was reelected manager of the Shipping Association. The Association will continue in the coal business and Mr. A.K. Moen will handle the coal. The coal account will be kept by Manager Olson. He is required by the board to keep the coal account entirely separate from the stock account so that any losses or profits on coal will show up separately from the handling of stock.

Advertisement: We Fix All Makes of Motor Cars. When your car gets out of fix, we will put it back for you. The size or make does not matter. We deal with a principle – automotive locomotion. That means complete engineering, from a missing sparkplug to intricate motor mechanism. In line with general quality, we use genuine plate glass in replacing broken windshields and windows and doors. It is hump-free and bump-free, and it is free from the accidental lines and waves that make common glass a nuisance. – Motor Inn.
