International Hetteen Cup Vintage Snowmobile Races

This year’s Main Event Hetteen Cup vintage snowmobile races were filled with excitement at every turn. Curt Pederson was this year’s winner and earned his fifth Hetteen Cup Championship. There were over 50 races on the icy track in front of Lakeside Ballroom. Racers were in attendance from all over the country, chasing the main championship. There were 31 divisions of competition with winners in each. Local celebrity announcer, Ron Krog, provided play by play along with veteran vintage sled racer, Mike Pappenfus. Yesterday’s perfect weather provided an excellent setting for a day of fun!
Hetteen Cup winners were: First Place Curtis Pederson;
second place Brayden Stensrud; and third place AJ Lange.
Winner of the Roger Ebert Memorial Sportsmanship Cup Mitchel Messer-Photographer. Tyler Neumann and Mitchel Giesking tied for 4th place. Played Rock, Paper, Scissors with Tyler winning the tool kit donated by NAPA Auto Parts.
