Spark27 Creative earned a 2023 Silver ADDY award from the American Advertising Federation’s North Dakota (AAF-ND) chapter for its rebrand design of the 22 Northmen Brewing Company brand.

22 Northmen Brewing Company, a Bold North Cellars brand located in Alexandria, Minn., branding embodies traditional Viking heritage with a modern twist. The typography lines are strong and smooth, yet, angled in some areas — a mix of the new and old world. The dragon icon shape draws on inspiration from the carved masthead of a Viking longship and the number 22 in the brewery’s name that was derived from Norse legend. The dragon’s tongue weaves in a pattern inspired by Viking knotwork and dares you to unleash your BEERVENTUROUS® spirit.

The ADDY awards recognize excellence in advertising and marketing. Members of the Spark27 Creative team accepted the award during the AAF-ND’s 2023 American Advertising Awards Ceremony held on February 25 in Fargo, N.D.
