Sealed Bids will be received until 10:00 A.M., April 27th, 2023, by the Pope County Highway Department, on behalf of the County Board of Commissioners for construction of the county state aid highway projects listed below.

Type of Work: Grading, Aggregate Base, Culvert Replacements, and Bituminous Paving

Length: 3.485 Miles

The major items of work are:

Salvage Agg Base & Bit Pavement   46,030 SY  

Common Excavation 132,854 CY 

Aggregate Surfacing, Class 5     5300 Tons

Aggregate Base (CV) Class 5B   10,904 CY

Aggregate Base Class 5 Mod   48,100 Tons

Type SP 12.5 Wearing Course Mix (2,C)   12,420 Tons 

CS Pipe Culvert (various sizes)     1360 LF

RC Pipe Culvert (various sizes)      1258 LF

Seeding         37 Acres

Sediment Control Log (Straw)     5380 LF

Rolled Erosion Prevention Cat 30     9310 SY

Paint Striping   53,240 LF

Bids will be opened and read publicly by the Pope County Engineer at the Pope County Highway Department, 16139 State Highway 29, Glenwood, Minnesota.  

Plans, Proposals and Specifications are available for viewing through the Pope County OneOffice website at: https://mn-co-pope.app.rtvision.com/oneoffice

Contractors wishing to submit a proposal shall obtain a full plan and proposal packet from the County Highway Engineer’s Office at 16139 State Hwy. 29, Glenwood, MN 56334 for a non-refundable cost of $50.00(includes sales tax).

Bids shall be accompanied by a Bidder’s Bond made payable to the Treasurer of Pope County for at least five (5) percent of the amount of the proposal.

The county Board of Commissioners reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any defects.
