The Minnewaska Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) recently  awarded Megan Greene, the PTO “Teacher of Excellence Award.”

Megan Greene is a third-grade teacher at Minnewaska Area Elementary.  She was chosen by the PTO based on three nominations submitted by parents/guardians with children in the Minnewaska Area School District, it was stated.  

PTO awarded Greene with $500 that can be used within her classroom for technology, for a field trip or training that will enhance  teaching skills. She also received flowers donated by Uptown Florist, a $50 gift card donated by Ace Hardware and a gift bag of goodies from Meco7.

MAS teachers that received nominations and were recognized by the PTO include: Rich Bond – Ace Gift Card; Kristal Wendt – Meco 7 Gift Basket; Megan Modahl – Olive Oil Gift Basket; Josh Greene – Ace Gift card; Emily Kluver – Meco 7 Gift Basket; and  Sidney Schiffler – Meco 7 Gift Basket.
