Phil Stumpf and his wife Catherine, have sponsored Independence Day fireworks shows for many years on the grounds of Evergreen Park Tree Farm. “Again, this year, our show is being held on Monday, July 3 to coincide with the United Parish’s Ice Cream Social. We invite the community to come out to the park around 8 p.m. to enjoy music and help us raise funds for Pope County Families in Need,” said Phil Stumpf.

Glenwood United parish will again be hosting their ice cream social starting at 8:00. Free will donations go towards youth programs.

“We get asked every year if community members can donate to the fireworks show, and we have always done it as a way of giving back to the community. Again, this year, monies collected before the show will go directly to Pope County Families in need,” he added.

Attendees are asked to bring seating for themselves. “In the past, people have brought along cornhole games, frisbees and picnics. We just want them to come and enjoy themselves and support the cause,” Stumpf mentioned.

The Stumpf crew will be seen around the lawn driving their gator with the free will donation sign and a place to put donations for the Pope County Families in Need organization.
