The Minnewaska Area dance teams had a great showing at the BBE Invitational, Thursday, Dec. 14, bringing home three firsts and a second by its varsity and JV teams.

The Minnewaska Varsity Jazz and High Kick teams both placed first at BBE, while the JV Jazz team was also first and the JV Kick team was second.  Participating teams were BBE, Minnewaska Area, Lakeview, Sauk Centre and Wabasso.

The team, coached by head coach Tana Ziesmer and assistants Morgan Blair, Mikiya Smith and Mariah Hetland, was also set to compete at Melrose Area, Saturday, but results of that competition will be highlighted next week.

Also coming up is the Alexandria Invitational, set for Saturday, Jan. 6.
