A 57-year-old Glenwood woman died last Sunday night (Dec.24) in a two-vehicle, head-on crash on Minnesota State Highway 55.  

Michelle Lee Kliber, of Glenwood,  died from injuries sustained in the crash, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

According to a report from the State Patrol, a 2003 Honda Pilot driven by Preston Koscheyev Linder, 18, of Willmar, was eastbound on Highway 55. A 2010 Toyota Yaris driven by Kliber was westbound on Highway 55. They crashed head-on at mile marker 77 in Chippewa Falls Township in Pope County.

Linder was transported to the Glacial Ridge Hospital in Glenwood with non-life threatening injuries, according to the report.

Both drivers were wearing seat belts. Alcohol was not a factor for Linder, but may have been for Kliber, according to the accident report posted by the State Patrol.

Road conditions were wet at the time of the crash, reported at 7:57 p.m. Sunday.
