The Minnewaska Area High School Choral Concert was held in three performances over the weekend. Featuring the Concert Choir, Varsity Choir, Seventh and Eighth Grade Choir, Jazz I and II, Men’s Jazz, Eighth Grade and Seventh Grade Jazz groups, the audience was captivated by the smooth transitions between groups and the lively song and dance in the performances. Featured soloists were Mason Reichmann, Ben Jenson, Isaac Warfield, Ethan Eliason, Soffia Stadtherr, Lucas Tauber, Blake Nelson, Jayda Kolstoe, Brianna Erickson, Katy Vold, Lyla Stadtherr, Myles Reichmann, Ross Thorfinnson, Carter Meyer, Daniel Cochran, Grace Zenk, Avarie Uhde, McKenna Uhde, Trelana Johnson and Brady McCrory. Flute solos were performed by Haylee Kasper. The concert was under the direction of Gordy Moeller, in his last year as director of the high school choir programs. Several alumni were in attendance to join in the singing of Hallelujah from Handel’s Messiah. Gifts were presented to Mr. Moeller from students and faculty to honor his retirement.
