(St. Paul, MN)— The Association of Minnesota Counties (AMC) has announced the election of its officers for 2024, including Pope County Commissioner Larry Lindor as the association’s Second Vice President. Commissioner Lindor also most recently served as AMC’s Secretary/Treasurer, and also is an appointed member of the General Government Policy Committee. Commissioner Lindor represents Pope County’s Fourth District.

Pope County has also been represented on the AMC Board of Directors by Second District Commissioner Gordy Wagner, who is concluding his service as the Chair of AMC’s Transportation and Infrastructure Policy Committee this year.

Other Pope County Commissioners served this year as appointed Policy Committee members. Third District Commissioner Paul Gerde served as a member of the Environment and Natural Resources Committee, First District Commissioner Paul Gremmels served as a member of the Health and Human Services Committee, and Fifth District Commissioner Paul Wildman served as a member of the Public Safety and Corrections Committee.

Other 2024 AMC Officers elected at convention include: Neal Gaalswyk, Cass County Commissioner AMC President; Mike Slavik, Dakota County Commissioner AMC First Vice President; Mary Jo McGuire, Ramsey County Commissioner AMC Past President; and Lisa Fobbe, Sherburne County Commissioner AMC Secretary/Treasurer

AMC has been serving Minnesota’s 87 counties since 1909. AMC is a voluntary statewide organization that assists the state’s 87 counties in providing effective county governance to the people of Minnesota. The association works closely with the legislative and administrative branches of government in seeing that legislation and policies favorable to counties are enacted. In addition, the association provides educational programs, training, research and communications for county officials.
