Starbuck Chamber of Commerce announced the winners of the annual Holiday lighting contest.  There were two winners in the “residential” category and two in the “business” category.  Minnewaska Lutheran Home and Lakes Area Inn were the top winners in the business category and Christ and Kristie Taffe and Tiffany Simonson and Jesse Parker were the top two winners in the residential category.

There were many very nice light displays this year making the judging difficult.   The judges wanted to mention that Vern Kluver’s on Ridgeview Drive and Ricky Beveridge and Rick Noyes residences on East 3rd Street were very nice as well as many houses on East 2nd Street.  Although the contest was only open to residences and businesses in the city limits, the judges were impressed with the Scott and Tracy Ogdahl display on Highway 114 North.  The judges also liked Minnewaska Marine’s giant blowup display in the business category.

Thanks to everyone for helping to make the season festive.
