The cold temperatures that settled into the area over the past week brought out a few permanent fishing houses on Lake Minnewaska and other area lakes.  These three houses were located south of the DNR landing on the Glenwood side of Minnewaska.  By the weekend, there were more houses out and even a few full-sized vehicles could be seen on the lake’s ice, starting a delayed ice fishing season in the area.  Much of the lake was open just a couple of weeks ago.
