Laker Staff, Students, and Families,

I hope this message finds you well. I wanted to take a moment to share some important news and invite you to join us in honoring the memory of a remarkable member of our community, Margaret Pederson.

As many of you may already know, Margaret was an extraordinary individual who dedicated her life to spreading kindness throughout our community. Her passion and commitment to the BeKind movement have left a lasting impact on all of us, and her legacy will continue to inspire generations to come.

In recognition of Margaret’s incredible contributions, I am proud to announce that our upcoming Day of Caring on May 1st for grades 7-12 and May 2nd for K-6 will be dedicated to her memory. This day will be an opportunity for us to come together as a community and embody the spirit of kindness that Margaret so passionately championed.

To honor Margaret’s legacy, I encourage all staff and students to wear our BE KIND shirts during our Day of Caring activities. These shirts symbolize our commitment to spreading kindness and making a positive difference in the lives of others.

I understand that there are still BE KIND shirts available at Screen Prints for those who would like to purchase one. I encourage you to take this opportunity to show your support and solidarity as we come together to celebrate Margaret’s life and continue her important work.

Let us use this Day of Caring as a reminder of the incredible impact that each and every one of us can have when we choose kindness and compassion. Together, we can carry forward Margaret’s dream of ensuring that everyone in Pope County is touched by an act of kindness every single day.

Thank you for your unwavering support and dedication to making our community a better place.

Your commitment to spreading kindness is what makes our community truly remarkable. I look forward to seeing you all on May 1 and May 2 as we come together to honor Margaret and continue her important work.
