Members of the Minnewaska Rotary Club gathered around Starbuck Mayor Gary Swenson (front row third from right) to present the City of Starbuck with a donation of $3,300.  The check was presented from funds raised by the first annual Cash Bash Raffle and Party hosted by the local Rotary Club.  The funds will be used for the city’s park system or other needs within the City of Starbuck, it was stated by Swenson.  Besides Starbuck, the Rotary club will be presenting $3,300 checks to the cities of Lowry, Long Beach, Villard and Glenwood.  About $17,000 was raised by the Minnewaska Rotary Club’s Cash Bash in March and all the proceeds will be provided to the area’s cities for specific projects.  “The club wanted to do something substantial for the area communities and thanks to the entire Rotary Club for its work and with the support of the community, we were able to do just that,” said current Rotary President Tim Douglass.
