The Minnewaska Area boys tennis team is having one of its best seasons ever.  The Lakers swept Detroit Lakes, Thursday, for its 17th win of the season, while two days earlier, Minnewaska fell for only the second time this spring with a 6-1 loss to Alexandria.

The Lakers, who finished 6-0 in the WCC and are 17-2 overall, also won four of seven individual titles at the WCC Tourney, Saturday, May 3 at NLS.

The only meet scheduled this week is a triangular at St. John’s Prep, which had been set for earlier this year, but was rescheduled to Tuesday May 14.

The Section 8A Boys Tennis Tournament is slated for May 20-22 at Osakis.  Last year, the Lakers fell in the first round of the team tourney, while Drew Bleick and Carter LeClair placed fourth in individual doubles.
