Minnewaska Area Schools Band Students in grades 5 through 8 put on great performances last week! The Junior High Jazz Band opened up Monday’s concert series with fun bouncy songs including The Bare Necessities from Jungle Book. Music from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory and Harry Potter dazzled the audience in other performances and the seventh and eighth grade percussion sections showed off their drum line skills. The fifth and sixth grade bands showed off their skills with their instruments with vast improvement over the last year spent with their instrument of choice. The bands are directed by Jen Germundson and Heidi Polzin.
