Under clear skies and amidst the scenic beauty of the state park, Glacial Hills Elementary hosted its highly anticipated 2nd Annual State Park Family Day, a resounding success by all measures. Enthusiastic participants enjoyed a plethora of outdoor activities including kayaking, fishing, geocaching, crafting sun catchers and engaging in a lively game of nature bingo.

This event, aimed at fostering a deep appreciation for the great outdoors, not only brought families together but also provided them with a treasure trove of activities that can be replicated in the comfort of their homes. The overwhelming turnout of over 70 family members underscored the event’s significance in strengthening bonds and creating lasting memories.

“Heartfelt gratitude goes out to the families whose presence made the day truly special. Additionally, a special shoutout to the Glacial Ridge Cattlemen’s Association for their invaluable support in grilling the farm-to-school burgers provided by Minnewaska Meats, which were hailed for their deliciousness, adding an extra savory touch to the day’s festivities,” stated Jodee Lund, School Director.
